Hella de Haas, M.A., studied Communication and Media Studies and German Studies at the University of Bremen. At the Center for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) located there, she was a writing and research coach in the seminar "Non-standard Methods" in 2018. She completed her Master's degree in Communication Studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms University of Münster, where she worked as a research assistant at the Research Training Group "Trust and Communication in a Digitalized World" in 2020 and at the chair of "Forms and Processes of Public Communication" with Prof. Dr. Julia Metag in 2021. Since 2021, she has been working at the Chair KMW I at the Institute of Social Science at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in the DFG-funded project "Two Sides of the Same Coin: Public Trust in Science and Scientists' Trust in the Public". Teaching and research areas include science communication, gender studies in communication science, and qualitative methods.
