Roni Lehrer is Professor of Comparative Politics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) at the University of Mannheim. He has published numerous articles on the interplay between political parties and voters in modern democracies in leading journals, including the American Political Science Review, Political Science Research and Methods, and PLOS ONE. His research addresses questions of how democracies (fail to) ensure the political representation of their citizens. His research is currently funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), while previous research has received funding from the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation. He teaches courses on various topics in Comparative Politics as well as introductory courses in Political Science.
