Laura Mark is a research associate in the junior research group focused on the effects of citizen participation on political decisions for the sustainable transformation of the transport sector. In this context she is working on her doctoral degree focusing on the effects of public participation processes on the quality of planning decisions. From 2010 to 2017, she studied urban and regional planning at the Technical University Berlin and the University of Buenos Aires. In her master thesis, she investigated the mobility of marginalized women living in slums, looking at the case of an informal settlement in Argentina. Until 2019 she then worked as a transport planner for traffic analyses and sustainable mobility concepts at an engineering firm in Berlin.
